SciWorks will hold a Repair Fair on Saturday, part of the museum’s effort to expand programs aimed at adults.

From 1-5 p.m., visitors are invited to bring broken items and watch and learn as volunteers repair them. The volunteers have expertise with everything from bikes to small appliances to electronics.

Event coordinator Ally McCauley said that while the museum cannot guarantee every item can be fixed, the purpose of the event is to encourage participants to consider fixing items instead of throwing them away.

Repair Fair is included with museum admission and is free for SciWorks members.

Admission to SciWorks, at 400 W. Hanes Mill Road, is $11 for adults and $9 for youth and for seniors ages 62 and older. Kids ages 2 and under get in free.

For more information, call (336)767-6730 or visit www.sciworks.org.
