Wake Forest landed its target recruit for the 2016-17 season today when guard Chaundee Brown of Orlando committed to play for the Deacons.
Brown, ranked by ESPN as the 30th best player in his class, confirmed via Twitter that he has cast his lot with Wake Forest and the coaching staff of Danny Manning and assistants Brett Ballard, Randolph Childress and Steve Woodberry.
"This was a long and stressful process,'' Brown tweeted. "I want to thank Coach Manning, Ballard, Childress and Woodberry, but I have decided to further my education and basketball career at a place I feel most at home. I am committing to University of Wake Forest. Go Deacs.''
Brown visited Wake Forest this weekend, and chose the Deacons over offers from Florida, Kansas and Maryland.
