The N.C. Department of Health and Human Services recommended Friday that vaccine providers resume administration of the J&J vaccine as early as Saturday after the CDC and FDA reaffirmed its safety. As of 1 p.m. Friday, nearly 48% of adult North Carolinians, or 3.7 million, have received at least one dose of one of the COVID-19 vaccines, along with 37.3%, or 2.82 million, who are considered as fully vaccinated.
