The state Senate has placed the so-called Gerald Hege bill on its floor calendar for a session scheduled to begin at noon Thursday.
HB312 would apply to 47 counties, including Alamance, Alleghany, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes and Surry counties in the Triad and Northwest North Carolina.
