Salem Plastic Surgery:
We are a plastic surgical practice specializing in cosmetic and restorative procedures including breast augmentaion and liposuction. Our priority is to provide superior care to our patients while maintaining an empathetic understanding of the individual needs of each. From the first visit to our office, throughout scheduled surgery and during ongoing medical care, we strive to make your experience a positive one where your dignity and confidentiality are maintained.
To better serve our patients and to protect their privacy, we have two operating suites in our office and are certified by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities Inc. For more extensive procedures Drs. Tucker and Howell have privileges at Medical Park Hospital, Forsyth Medical Center, and Hawthorne Surgery Center.

About Us
Scott L. Tucker, M.D.
Dr. Scott L. Tucker graduated with his medical degree in 1982 from University of Missouri, Columbia, M.D. He then completed his general surgery internship at North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Winston Salem, North Carolina. Continuing his education, Dr. Tucker completed his residency in Plastic Surgery at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. Dr. Tucker then completed a Plastic Surgery fellowship at Rancho Los Amigos, University of Southern California.

Hampton A. Howell, M.D.
Dr. Hampton A. Howell was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in High Point, North Carolina. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Howell received his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Dr. Howell completed his general surgery and formal plastic surgery residency training at the Grand Rapids/Michigan State University program, which included Butterworth Hospital, Blodgett Medical Center, and Saint Mary's Mercy Medical Center. He was then accepted into the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship. This additional year of specialized training in Manhattan was devoted solely to the art of cosmetic surgery and allowed Dr. Howell the unique opportunity to work with many of the experts in this field.
Enjoying the opportunity to teach others, Dr. Howell periodically serves as a clinical preceptor for both plastic surgery residents and physician assistant students through Wake Forest Baptist Health and the School of Medicine.
Dr. Howell is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the North Carolina Medical Society. In addition to operating at our AAAASF surgical center, he has privileges at Forsyth Medical Center, Medical Park Hospital, Hawthorne Surgical Center, and Kernersville Medical Center.
Dr. Howell enjoys spending time with family, running, biking, triathlons, hiking, camping, traveling, and photography. He is married and has a son and a daughter. Dr. Howell is excited to be back home in the Triad and to bring his experience and expertise to Salem Plastic Surgery.
