A major water main break in eastern Forsyth County is affecting water service at several City of Winston-Salem recreation facilities, including multiple summer camp locations. To minimize disruptions and continue providing services to families, the city is relocating summer camp operations to recreation centers that are not impacted by the outage.
Parents and guardians of registered campers will be contacted directly regarding location changes. Because food service operations are also affected, campers will need to bring a packed lunch for the remainder of the camp session.

- William R. Anderson, Jr. Recreation Center*
- Sprague Street Recreation Center*
- Belview Recreation Center

Program and facility impacts
All recreation programs scheduled at facilities affected by the outage are canceled until further notice. Participants in impacted programs will be contacted directly with updates. Recreation staff assigned to closed facilities will be temporarily reassigned to assist at open recreation centers as needed to support ongoing operations and summer camp activities.
Aquatics facilities
Due to water service interruptions, Parkland, Reynolds Park, and Waterworks pools will be closed until further notice.
Residents are encouraged to use other city pools in unaffected areas.
City staff will continue to assess conditions, and weekend operations at Waterworks may resume if water service is restored and the facility can safely operate.
