SALISBURY, N.C. – Women's swimming sophomore Eszter Pajor and men's golf senior Alec Barker earn Oct. 13 Catawba Athletics Budd Group Athlete of the Week honors.
Pajor broke a Catawba school record in the 200-yard backstroke by finishing the event in 1:59.98. The time also broke Conference Carolina's previous record, earned an NCAA B cut and eclipsed last season's NCAA Division II championship invitation mark.
Barker finished tied for first at the Richard Rendleman Invitational, turning in his best collegiate three-round scorecard. The senior's 211 (-2) helped lift the Catawba Indians to a team championship in a field of 11 on their home course. Barker's best round came on the final day, shooting a 69 (-2) behind three birdies.
