DANVILLE, Va. – Averett University baseball represented well on the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Baseball Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, as senior Luke Keister, junior Drew Skinner and sophomores Nathan Michalowicz, Corbin Mickle and Cooper Amerson were named with the set academic and athletic requirements.
Keister, an infielder from Harrisonburg, Virginia, settled right into Averett's lineup after transferring from in-conference foe Shenandoah. The sports administration major batted .302 and was third on the team in hits with 42. He recorded a season-high three hits versus Johnson & Wales (N.C.) on April 21.
Skinner, an infielder from South Riding, Virginia, earned his second straight all-district honor. The business major hit .282 with a .446 on-base percentage in 117 at-bats, with 33 hits, seven doubles, 16 RBIs and 17 runs scored.

Mickle, a pitcher from Charlotte, North Carolina, appeared in 15 games as a starter and reliever for Averett, as he went 2-2 in 36.0 innings pitched.
