The Rail Yard Dawgs are proud to host their first annual Teacher of the Year Contest, sponsored by Beacon Credit Union, leading up to Teacher Appreciation Night on Friday, January 15, 2027.
Know a teacher who goes above and beyond? Nominate them for Teacher of the Year. Submit your nomination using this link. The deadline for submissions is Friday, December 11.
All nominated teachers will be reviewed by Rail Yard Dawgs representatives, who will select five teachers to be recognized during Teacher Appreciation Night and determine the first through fifth-place recipients. All five honorees will participate in a ceremonial puck drop prior to the game.
One teacher will be named the Rail Yard Dawgs Teacher of the Year during the first intermission and will receive a $2,000 grant for their classroom. The second through fifth-place teachers will each receive a $500 classroom grant.
Schools and classes can purchase group tickets for Teacher Appreciation Night or contact the ticketing team for more information and assistance with a group.
