ASHEBORO, N.C. – The Radford women's golf program bounced back in a big way thanks in part to an incredible third round this week at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational. Grace Addison highlighted the day with her hole-in-one on the 163-yard par-three third hole as Radford finished seventh overall as a team.

The breakdown
After a slow start, the Highlanders regrouped well over the final two rounds for their seventh-place finish at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational. After one round, Radford was at 21-over, which put the team in 10th place. Caroline Gilreath and Macy Johnson had the strongest starts for Radford, with the pair both at three-over. Johnson tallied a team-high two birdies on holes 2 and 18.
Needing a bounce back, Radford steadied things over the second round of action to play 15-over as a team. Gilreath kept cruising along with another two-over showing that included four birdies over the back nine. Addison was similarly successful with four birdies over her first nine holes as she also finished two-over. Freshman Ellie Acrey also rebounded well after a shaky first round to play at six-over with a trio of birdies.
In the third round, the Highlanders posted their best round of the fall so far to vault themselves up three spots on the leaderboard. The team combined for 18 birdies overall, and action was highlighted by Addison, who scored a hole-in-one on hole three, which put her as low as three-under for the day. Addison eventually finished at just one-over, which was tied with two other teammates for the best round of the day on the team.
Gilreath put a cap on her solid showing at the tournament by scoring one-over, which helped her finish tied for 19th individually, best on the team. That was thanks to another slew of birdies on the back nine and finishing even or with a birdie on the last five holes of the day.
Mary Elizabeth Harrison also had a big bounce back for Radford, finishing at one-over and shaving off nine strokes from her previous high of the week. Harrison began the day with three birdies in the first six holes and finished a strong even over the front nine. Rounding out the Highlanders' scoring efforts on the day was Acrey, who posted her best round of the week at three-over with a pair of birdies on holes 9 and 17.

Radford will look to carry the momentum from this week when the team next competes at the Edisto Island Intercollegiate from October 19 through October 20.
